This year’s Gatlinburg NNO party will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017, 6 to 8 pm, at 807 Pigeon Forge Road, in the cul-de-sac as in previous years. Everyone is invited to come. An invitation flyer was distributed to every home on Pigeon Forge from 1200 to Dove Haven. Four yard signs were placed on Pigeon Forge and one at the Dove Haven entrance. Pflugerville police and city officials often stop by to say hello and chat. There will be about 120 NNO block parties throughout Pflugerville, if it matches 2016’s participation rate. Just wanted to encourage you and neighbors to vote Saturday, August 6th in the special election for Place 2 City Council. All candidates deserve consideration too. It will be a low turnout election so your vote will make a BIG difference.

Once again neighbors on Pigeon Forge Drive and other Gatlinburg streets will celebrate National Night Out. Nothing fancy here: just residents meeting and learning how to prevent crime. This is the 4th year the block party has been co-hosted by Jollie Williams and Clay Leben.
Get In The Picture
Join us for this year’s group photo at Gatlinburg’s National Night Out Party, 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 807 Pigeon Forge. Come meet your neighbors and visit with Police and City officials. Keep reading to learn all the ways you can prevent theft.
We shared stories and gabbed about the weather and gardens. But we also exchanged serious information about home improvements that stop burglars. We encouraged each other to be vigilant watching for suspicious activity, maybe a crime in progress, at our neighbor’s house. We enjoyed hearing the crime prevention advice we learned from several police officers who visited. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to make this NNO possible.
We’re starting Block Watch in Gatlinburg:
7 pm, Wednesday, April 24 at
1207 Pigeon Forge (4th house from Immanuel).
Police Officer Griffith will explain what neighbors can do to prevent crimes by forming a street Block Watch.
We would like to start a group on every street. So far we have participants from Dove Haven and 1200 – 1300’s block of Pigeon Forge.
How about your street? Join Us!
RSVP requested since space is limited send email to cleben (at) gmail (dot) com.

Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM . . .
Free! All Gatlinburg residents welcome.
Although its fun to eat some snacks and meet police officers, NNO has a serious purpose: stopping crime with neighborhood Block Watch! The goal is for neighbors to band together so that criminals know they will be caught!
There were no bad guys on Pigeon Forge Tuesday evening. Only good neighbors who were introducing themselves and catching up on local news. The gathering under the street light attracted about 22 people as well as several police, constable, assistant fire chief, and two city council members Starlet Sattler and Brad Marshall.
The Gatlinburg Neighborhood has a proud history of hosting block parities for National Night Out every year that I’ve lived here since 1997. For many years Janie Shrout hosted block parties for her Oat Meadow neighbors. Parties were hosted jointly by several families on Candleberry Circle for years too . For two years, NNO gatherings have been held at 606 Pigeon Forge by the Duffy’s and 807 Pigeon Forge by Jollie Williams and myself. Thanks to everyone, especially Officer Dan Griffith of PPD, for making NNO a success in Pflugerville. Continue reading National Night Out – Oct. 4, 2011
We want to express our deepest sympathy to the two families at 613 and 611 Pigeon Forge who lost everything in the home fires Sunday. Fortunately everyone and pets are safe, but please offer your help to the Cruiz and Menke families during the coming weeks as they face the daunting task of starting over. These families have been our Gatlinburg neighbors for more than 20 years.
In the beginning 9 houses along that part of Pigeon Forge were in danger from the flames and evacuated by Police. The 911 alarm was sounded by neighbors across the street because the homeowners at 613 and 611 and 703 were ALL not home. The wind-whipped fire went across the fields to the east and burned more homes at Boulder Ridge. If the wind had been blowing differently more Gatlinburg homes might have burned. Awesome fire crews saved the day. There, but for fortune, go us all. Continue reading Two Pigeon Forge homes consumed by fire!
